Future Vision
Our ultimate goal is to move towards straight grades across all year levels over time. Straight grades allow teachers to plan and deliver learning that is closely tailored to the specific developmental stage of their students, and they make it easier for us to build strong, connected year-level teams working towards consistent goals. We believe this will bring real benefits to every child's learning experience. Importantly, this shift will strengthen our ability to implement our explicit teaching style with even greater consistency and precision. We're also fortunate to already have an available classroom in each pod, meaning this transition can happen smoothly and with minimal disruption to established routines.
Of course, a change like this doesn't happen overnight, and it will continue to be guided by our enrolment numbers. While our school community grows, so too does our ability to offer more straight grades across more year levels. It's important to note, though, that our growth is capped (we have no intention of ever becoming bigger than we have been in the past). Our small school feel and close-knit community are things we treasure, and that won't be lost as we move through this process. Every new family who joins us within that capacity helps make this vision a reality, so if you know someone considering schools in Warrnambool, we'd love for you to continue to spread the word!
We're proud of the momentum building at St Pius X, and we're excited for what lies ahead. Thank you, as always, for being part of this journey with us.
